Troy is a writer with an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, an RYT 500 yoga teacher at Urban Ashram Yoga, and a body of work ranging from print to film.On print, his work covers interests like lifestyle, travel, and social commentary, appearing in glossy magazines like Rogue; inflight magazines like Mabuhay and Smile, which belong to Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific Air.

On television, he has shown in the National Geographic Channel, Star World and ETC; while on film, he has screened in Honolulu, New York, and San Francisco winning at international film festivals in Hawaii, New York and Mexico. Semi-retired, he now spends his days surfing, teaching yoga, and writing fiction in San Juan, La Union, where he now lives by the beach.
